Vincent Lawler was my grandfather and because he passed away when I was about 5yrs old I don't remember a. whole lot about him but what I do remember is vividly clear. We would always visit for Thanksgiving and upon arrival we would join him at the dining room table where we would snack on Planter's Roasted Peanuts, Little Debbies Oatmeal Cookies, Ice cream sandwiches, and eskimo pies while listening to his amazing stories. As the adults took over the table for a game of Canasta I would dart out through the garage grabbing a long thick rope that I would string up between the palm trees for performing my death defying tight rope walk followed by my even more death defying radial tire trapeze act that ended with a leaping dismount and superstar landing in front of the kitchen window where my grandmother would be watching me shaking her head and rolling her eyes. So began my journey to where I am now!
